An easy and yummy smelling body scrub recipe that is perfect for the winter months; can be made for yourself or even given as a fun gift!
I am the absolute WORST at putting on lotion; most of the time I just forget. So, every winter when the air gets a little dry and the weather gets cold, my skin gets extra dry and coarse. I have been looking for an alternative that will help keep my skin moisturized and glowy but that I won’t necessarily have to remember to use every day. Hence, the sugar scrub!
Sugar scrubs are perfect because they exfoliate away dry skin all while moisturizing and lathering for a natural, soft glow. This Cinnamon Vanilla Sugar Scrub smells like cookies, Snickerdoodles to be exact! It only needs to be used about 1-2 times per week. I have been using it about twice a week in the shower and I absolutely love it, its like a mini spa date! You could also tie a pretty bow around it and give it as a gift for the holidays.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup raw cane sugar
- 1/4 white sugar
- 1/2 cup almond oil (or any other oil of your choosing)
- 1/2 Tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla
Mix all ingredients together in a dish, and store in your favorite mason jar. Use 1-2 times per week; scrub/lather a tablespoon amount on skin to exfoliate and moisturize. Best when used in the shower.
Thank you for stopping by, hope you all enjoy!
