Take a look at how we styled our porch for Fall this year with a few simple touches including a DIY leaf & berry wreath, plus MORE fall porch inspiration from some friends!

Happy FALL friends! Can you believe its already here?! I am so excited. The mornings have been crisp and cool, our house is overflowing with apples, and we’re making plans to head out to a harvest festival this weekend. It doesn’t get much better.
In honor of the first day of the new season, I’ve joined up with a couple of blogging friends to give you all some Fall inspiration! You can find more porch ideas and a fun, fall drink recipe to enjoy on your decorated porches at the end of this post.
I wanted to show you guys a peak at our sweet and simple fall porch this year. I also have a tutorial for making the fresh leaf and berry wreath seen in the photos that you can catch below.

It might not be much, but this was SO fun. In the 3+ years that we’ve lived in our little home, our front porch has sported heavily chipped, blue and white paint. I’ve only ever had a couple pots on it at a time with seasonal flowers, and not much more.
Just this summer we decided to give the porch a fresh paint job and its made such a difference! The day after we painted it I kept looking out the front door every few minutes and telling Caleb it was beautiful, haha. So giving it a few simple touches for the Autumn season this year was extra special for me.
Normally I like really traditional fall decor and colors. I love the warm reds and oranges and burgundies. These bright yellow mums stood out to me though and I just had to grab them!

I painted the pots they are in with a midnight blue spray paint (they used to be a dirty and chipped cream color), and I’m loving the fresh look. I wanted them to match my other pots.
They’re just a cheap garage sale find, and I’m glad I can change up the color again in the future if I ever get tired of the blue.
I added a few pumpkins that I picked up from Trader Joe’s, and my favorite broom. I wish I could have found more pumpkins, but its just a tad early!

Finally, I clipped some branches from one of the trees in our yard that’s turning (its the only one!), and made the leaf and berry wreath to hang by our door. It was so simple to make!

DIY Fall Leaf Wreath Tutorial
- Start with some fresh clippings of branches with leaves that are changing and seasonal berries or other adornments.
- Use a metal wreath form and add the branches into the form, bending them around as you go.
- Continue adding small branches all the way around.
- Fill in the sparse areas with smaller clippings, using floral wire to secure them to the form or to the other branches.
- If you have a lot of leaves sticking out, bend down the smaller branches and secure them to the form to make it look more ‘clean’.
- Add a couple clippings of berry branches as garnish and secure with more floral wire.
- Hang and enjoy!

Have you decorated your porch for fall yet this year? What kind of decor do you gravitate towards? I am so excited and inspired to decorate for the next seasons now that our porch has fresh paint.
